Quick Tip | What's the best kitchen corner?

Here is a quick tip we would like to share about how we design cabinets that fit into a corner. It's an odd space that can easily be very inconvenient so here's our thoughts and how we prefer to deal with them.

I'm building a pantry in a small area and have been pulling my hair out trying to work out how to make sure to use that small corner area. This video has just made my mind up for me! Thank you very much!

I like this approach and am planning to use it when remodeling my kitchen. A couple of questions:

1.) What is the spacing for the corner between the drawers? It appears to be about 2". I want to ensure I do not interference between the drawers/doors when opening in the corner.

2.) How do you attach the countertop? Do you just attach it as close to the corner as possible throught the nearest cabinets to the corner, or some other way?

I'm suprised you are not suggesting a vertical lift for the dead corner space

40 year ago I built 2 lazy Susans. 34 inch diameter 3 tier. Best use of this space . So easy to find everything.

Love this idea!! I was thinking the same thing. I was curious, do you have filler strips between the two cabinets in the corner?

The Europeans are WAY ahead of what Americans are accomplishing in kitchen design. I followed their lead and built a round corner cabinet that was gorgeous and worked beautifully. Was it difficult to install? Yes. Was it worth it? Every single day. Will I do it again? YES!

We're putting a Halloween fake skeleton dog in that dead space for someone in the distant future to discover when they redecorate the kitchen.

I would never waste that HUGE corner and build this way. I would much rather have the option to store things even if it was difficult to get to rather then block it off. Blind corner for me all day.

Having been spoiled by having a zero corner galley kitchen for most of my life, I am now in a house with a kitchen with the dreaded corner cupboard which I am about to renovate. It will be blocked off as you have shown and I will gladly live without that nuisance space. May even add a little time capsule "surprise" for the next renovator of the space

My kitchen...fitted before I moved in...has big recesses at both corners and no lazy susan. It would have been mad not to have utilised those spaces. Just put stuff in there you might only use every other month.

You could totally fit one of those pull out spice racks diagonally in that setup. That would be actually maximizing the space

What drawer hardware are you using? It's got very snug clearance to the sides, which is exactly what we're looking for. Looks like some sort of bottom mount?

I always use the ninka cornor Mondo they are great and is very easy to use.
