Sonic Games that were Never Released: Lost Sonic Games:

First up is Sister Sonic. This was going to be a role playing game Starring Sonic’s Sister, and it was supposed to be geared for older audiences and was canceled due to backlash, and for being to tone deaf for what sonic represented at the time.

Next is Sega Sonic Bros. Now this wasn’t a Mario styled platformer but a 2 player Puzzle competition Game featuring A yellow Sonic that may have been Sonic’s Brother.

Sonic Mars: This was supposed to be released on the Sega 32X System and be based off of the Sonic Cartoon Series starring Sonic and Sally Acorn. However it was canceled for being too ambitious.

Sonic Extreme AKA: Sonic Skateboarding: This was supposed to be a Tony Hawk inspired skate boarding game but the development was too buggy which ultimately lead to the games cancelation.

And then there is Sonic’s Edusoft: Before Sonic’s Schoolhouse came out, Sonic Edusoft was the original Sonic Educational game that was supposed to come out in the 90s.

And last but not least is Sonic the Shadow World, which has nothing to do with Shadow, and crazy enough it is not Sonic from another dimension like Scourge. It was supposed to be a PSP exclusive of Sonic in a Dark and Dangerous atmosphere.

Sister Sonic was meant to be a localized version of Popful Mail. However, fans of the Popful Mail series did not favor with this and had backlash, eventually begging Sega to release Popful Mail in all its glory.
