I’ve said for ages that there is a gap in the review market. I think you should forget the playing section and take the covers off the guitars and check the quality. Measure set up and finish. Like a bench test. Do a Les Paul Traditional vs a Custom shop. Are they really worth three times the price?

The Fender Elite, the binding, volume & tone knobs, locking tuner's & pickups, etc... Puts it's self well ahead of the competition! Sounds pretty good too! The PRS.... Wow! Not to keen on the Gibson, but, looks very nice.

When Gibson introduced the Classic in the eighties, it was actually supposed to be the top-end of the USA standard range without going custom shop. Together with the Studio around the same time, they saved the company from going bankrupt. Ironic.

Why no SG Standard? That’s a standard guitar from Gibson that is well under the 1800 bench mark

bought a ce24 in whale blue from gak about 3 weeks ago amazing guitar gloss finish for some reason the blue was massively cheaper than all the other gloss ce24s still im not complaining it goes well with my 59 am vintage strat also from you guys so thanks for the great service

My choice of these would be the Fender. Don't like P90's on the Gibson, and I've owned a CE24 but didn't keep it long.

Gibson and fender are great. IMO the prs is ugly and it didn’t sound that nice compared to the other two

So you took an apple, an orange and a baseball and decided to see which is “best”, since the only thing they all have in common is their country of origin. On top of that you throw varying levels of disgusting sounding overdrive/distortion on each one.

As a modern instrument the LP is essentially useless. Nobody uses it as a gigging musician or band. Its a grandad guitar sound.

Fenders abound and have a popular place in the youth pop rock/international scene; so that cements their place.

But PRS is running on a whole new level of success. Versatility wise they are already on stages and lead/band positions all over the globe. Everything from Guitarist AZ on youtube, across to Heavy Metal in Japan - They are dominant. For a professional, there's now little point buying anything else.
