Greek olive oil often has a bitter and grassy taste, indicating a high content of healthy polyphenols. Italian olive oil, on the other hand, is usually blended from different olive varieties, making it milder and more flavorful but with a lower polyphenol content.

Thank you for doing this video! There are so many YT videos about olive oils made from an American viewpoint, and it feels like their pricing and options are vastly different than here in european grocery stores.

I come from Greece and >20 euros per 500ml is crazy. In Greece it's nowadays around 4-5 euros per liter wholesale and around 9-10 euros per liter at the supermarket. It can go up to 15-20 euro for some extra expensive ones and the highest I've seen is 35 euros per liter which is like a "Grand-Cru" ultra fancy Cretan olive oil. But the normal price should be around 10 euros per liter right now.

I live in New York, USA.. Olive oil prices have exploded here. They went up a few dollars in only a month or two and I shop at Aldi and Lidl. It's a shame. I need good oil for my health not the rubbish they sell here (bad seed oils).

Hey felu, great hearing about this and great video! I was wondering if there are specs on the oleic acid content, oleic acid as FFA, peroxide content, DAG content, and exact polyphenol amounts measured by HPLC? Thanks!

I wouldn't personally buy tunisian olive oil. Just a personal preference.
