PRO tip for guitar players on Rocksmith, select the option to show the strings upside down so it looks like our regular tabs, with the first string on top. It's way easier to play that way if you are somewhat experienced.

I play the hell out of Rocksmith 2014 on pc.

Rocksmith 2014 put me back on the road of guitar playing I had abandoned it for years. It was the kick I needed.

Today, 10 years later I can play better than I ever did altough it's all armchair playing still, the pleasure of playing came back into my life.

You should enable 'inverted strings' for the note highway, that makes it a lot closer to tabs

Rocksmith+ seems more like a tool for learning/practising guitar that happens to have a game attached than the other way round. I might actually check it out now, I had no idea it was this robust.

I goofed around with the original version of Rocksmith a number of years back. This has clearly and significantly improved. Thanks for sharing, Bernth!

I always love the fact your observations are always tinted with "what would be good for someone learning". Or as I call it "stuff I wish I knew when I started self-taught so I didn't develop all these bad habits".

I picked up Rocksmith 2014 at the beginning of 2021, and have been progressively improving my guitar skills since!

I was waiting my whole life to play Rocksmith. I picked it up at the age of 35 in 2014. Now I can play the guitar and I’ve never looked back, it’s changed my life and my connection to music is better than ever.

My first electric guitar lessons were via Rocksmith. My son bought me my first electric guitar (a Squire Strat), and he bought me Rocksmith to go with it. Rocksmith did a great job of getting me ready for more formalized lessons 🎸🎸🎸 It's been six years since I last used Rocksmith, so it may be time to update it and see how well I play it now 😊 it definitely couldn't hurt 🤕😅

I'm in my 50's and haven't played guitar in over 20 years, so I am almost a beginner again. I started using Rocksmith+ to help me practice. I find the exercises are great to warm me up so I can practice what my personal guitar instructor is teaching me every week. Your video did a great job of showing what RS+ is capable of. I like how you tailored it to what you needed to see. Was also good to see you use an audio interface for it. One thing I don't recall you mentioning was that they do sell an affordable USB guitar cable for people that don't already have a DI.

At the end you asked if we wanted to see your music in RS+. That's a big hell yeah! Keep on rocking.

I like how the more notes you hit correctly it takes the difficulty up until youre playing all notes

i really hope Ubisoft don't touch our old rocksmith 2014 remastered. It's already can't be purchased, but this version is best.

Rocksmith original when I was in high school was like the coolest thing i had ever seen! I didn't like Guitar Hero because i wanted to actually learn the songs, but I'm not very good at learning through tab. Rocksmith helped me get the rhythms, bends, and other techniques figured out way easier then i would by myself.

I do think Rocksmith+ is a fun way to learn how to play an instrument, might try it for a month or so for bass.
You still need the discipline, but if you like playing videogames this might be the way to spice up your training :)

After playing Rocksmith 2014 for a long time, this video actually makes me want to give Rocksmith+ a valid try. seems like it has come a long way from what it was when it first came out.

Rocksmith plus is the cashcow version of Rocksmith2014. Rocksmith 2014 is great and Ubisoft wanted to make it a subscription instead of something you own. 140usd a year is way too much money.
