You know Obi-Wan probably thought we was being helpful, but honestly, if Padme hadn't mentioned Obi-Wan in that conversation, and Obi-Wan hadn't been just standing there, this whole scene might have played out differently.

This scene is so sad with Padme, especially when she starts crying.

"you turned her against me" "you will not take her from me." favourite lines from the series. The mental gymnastics going on upstairs to convince himself everything he's done is right and the Jedi's are evil. Padma was all he had left and this reception killed him. Obi-Wan didnt help matters with his behind the back conversations and that pose.
So much passion in Anakin's frustration here, he's hot headed and all that heat and burning in the background would have increased his fury. Only way this could've ended nicely was if Padme agreed to rule the galaxy with him, she was his (to quote Gollum) "precious"

Hayden Christensen's acting in this is one of those things people will appreciate over time. Listen to his voice. You can see Anakin is basically cracking up hard but trying to convince himself what he is saying/the way he is acting makes sense.
