____
IKEA FYRTUR Measurements:
- Unit/casing: 6.1 cm deep and 9.3 cm tall (not including brackets).
When ceiling-mounted the lowest point is 10.2 cm from the ceiling and the front is 8 cm from the back wall (minimum). When wall-mounted the unit will protrude 8 cm from the wall.
- Tube: 3.2 cm (outer diameter) 2.9 cm (inner diameter)
- The motor inserts 249 mm into the tube
- Endcap on motor side is 13 mm
- Endcap on opposite side is 11 mm

All IKEA FYRTUR + KADRILJ blinds are 195 cm long. Actual length when ceiling mounted is 197,8 cm including the casing. Available in these widths: 60, 80, 100, 120 or 140 cm. (actual width including casing: + 4.3 cm)

The blinds shown in this video are 120 cm (124.3 cm) x 195 cm.

Battery: 2600 mAh
According to IKEA, the battery should last 4-6 months before a recharge is needed (blind opened and closed once daily). A recharge should take 4-5 hours with the included charger. It charges via micro usb, but does not connect to the motor via micro usb - uses a special connector. - ie. you cannot use a micro usb adaptor to power the blinds. Battery cannot be charged while mounted (even with the hatch open).

@diy techie can you please make a teardown Video of the motor unit? Maybe it's possible to supply it by a external powersupply. Thx

Ignore the hate. Great to see these finally in the flesh and a customer has them for real

Great video. Has anyone replaced the original curtain material. My windows are taller and I like a different material. Please advise and issues. Thanks

Great video! I have 3 windows in a bay, so ideally would mount this inside the recess of each window. With the standard rolling though, this would mean the blind would hit the window handles....assuming the motor can't be reversed, I wonder if it would be possible to use this as a front-rolling unit by mounting it sideways....? That way it should clear the window handles...

Thanks for the teardown! Gives me hope to be able to customize it and making it even longer. My windows are just to large I guess ;)

Hi, thanks for the video. Very unrelated question - I love the flooring!:) Its exactly the look I want for my apartment. Do you happen to know, what is it? Solid wood, some laminate or something else? Any other details that could help me find similar flooring really appriciated:) Thanks.

Do the grooves/ridges on the inside of the tube go all the way through? Because if they do it should be fairly easy to cut the tube and the fabric to the preferred width.

Any idea how much space is needed between the ceiling and the window to fit the blinds? I only have about 8 cm space, if it needs more space i cant open the window anymore.

Have you tried connecting the hub directly to the FYRTUR, so you don't have to use the signal extender?

Nice. How long does the batteries last and do you have to take them out every time to charge?

I can't wait to get my hands on these blinds. I certainly hope IKEA anticipated the demand... that is if they ship with HomeKit support.

Suggestion: Teardown the electronics, and examine the possibility to power it permanently with 230V converted to DC.
