The 2 irons they are playing today are far removed from the 2 irons of old. I bought titleist tour model 2 through sand wedge in 1981 and are still in my bag. The 2 is great in shorter par fours, but I don’t have the spied these days to hit it high from the fairway. But they are pure and still feel great and haven’t lost any notable distance. My friends call them cave sticks lol

One of my best ever golf shots was with a 2 iron. We were playing in a drunk guy scramble basically lol. Ball was 240 out, I hit it so clean and it rolled about 8’ from the hole. I still shot a 90 that day😂
