Clouds span over kilometres usually, meaning that there is much more air to lift them up, they also do not act as a singular body but are usually carried by the same wind forces.

I don't know if it's the instrumentation or the melody (or both) but some parts of this sound like they could come out of the Metroid Prime trilogy.
