Abandoned places come in many different shapes and sizes. Some of them are so badly broken down and beaten up that they make us feel sad. Others look a little creepy when we come across them in the dark. Then there are those that fill us with a sense of wonder. Sometimes, when all the people have gone away, there can be something fabulous and mystical about a place that’s been left to fend for itself. Here are some of the most mystical abandoned places on Earth!

This may have been mentioned before but Chillingham Castle is not abandoned, it is still lived in. Its a very odd place though an worth a visit if you are in the area.

Technically the lighthouse wasn't abandoned, just modernised with an automatic electric light and the quarters used as holiday lets.

Don't know anything about any of the locations except Antarctica, I spent 7 mos. there '96-'97. And what was said about "Scott's hut" are not true. No ghosts, no anomalies. Although very interesting and well worth visiting.

6:29 There are many tunnels, rooms, and catacombs under various places in Czechia (Prague being the most well-known). Jihlava is the oldest mining town in the Czech Republic, so it makes sense that there would be tunnels under it. The mining of silver began there in 1234. We visited the tunnels and rooms under the State Castle and Chateau in Český Krumlov, south of Prague. They also date back to the 13th century, but back then the underground tunnels were above-ground streets. When the castle was built they just built it on top of the town and enclosed the streets and houses to become storage rooms for the castle (much to the town residents' dismay I'm sure!). If you visit today, you can go down and walk on those ancient streets. They use the rooms as gallery space now. It's a very eerie feeling to know you are walking on streets that were built there almost eight hundred years ago!

This is the best video of this kind I have ever seen. Very rare hard to find places. Entertaining. Informative. Excellent production. Not average at all. This video took a lot to produce. Good Job.
