Noodler’s Triple Tail - When 3 Tines are Better Than 2

Deep dive review of the Noodler's Triple Tail - a unique pen with a flex nib that has 3 tines. Please note the tines on my nib were out of alignment. This often happens when flexing the nib. While it still writes excellently in this condition - when the tines are aligned correctly, the line will be wider under light pressure than what I've shown.

Thanks for the review. I wish more reviewers would point out that the sealing mechanism is new for this pen, and SBRE Brown mentioned how well it stayed wet. Additionally, the removable feed section is new (although I'm not sure what the value is.)

Finally, you *can* get it in a different material and color, although not for the same price: The Neponset is available in ebonite in a few colors.

Thank you for this review and having courage to even do it. I love Noodler's and Nathan Tardiff. As you know the small percentage of the population got upset with him for his freedom of speech and label choices and cancelled him a few years ago. He has only put out a few pens and limited inks since then. They ruined a man that did a lot for the pen community by the way of cost, function, innovation, uniqueness, etc. The sad part is it was started by his friend Brian Goulet who called him things that are not true and should have known better. I'm sure Nathan had plans to make improvements to this pen and others but why, when you are now viewed as a monster? I stand with Nathan and his freedom of speech and being a patriot of this country!

I actually don't mind the odor of the resin Noodler's uses. Its more like used cooking oil to me.
Still its on my list for buying.

I am not aware of the furor over the owner of the company. I am much more interested in his work with his inks and his pens.

As for the pen, it is a remarkable pen. While I have been interested in a triple tine nib, i think i will pass on this one. Personally it writes broader than i like. I do loke hos pens overall. They are made to be modified, especially the nib. You can eyedropper fill the barrel, if I remember correctly.

I had an Ahab at one point and ruined the pen and nib. But i have been thinking about getting another model. Also I don't have any of the inks. I should look at getting some.

Why didn't you use a Noodler's ink for your writing?

So I had this and had too much burping of ink. Anyone know if they fixed this issue?
