It gives me goosebumps to think about the 6th August night, putting in the shoes of Vinesh Phogat. I would not be able to live with this. May God give her the required strength.

This is quite heart-breaking. I can't imagine the pain of the champion. My question is, what was the job of the medicos and other support staff she traveled with? The way she played, she definitely could have won the gold. What an unfortunate situation.

In previous Olympics, All the matches were being finished the same day including the finals. This new system of having rest day before final should not have been there. What was supposed to be beneficial after a day's rest proved costly.

Can’t imagine what level of preparation each player has to go through and sometimes it ends like this!! For few it ends with 4th place and few end up being defending champions early on.

This is team work. Experts have failed in this task to keep athlete fit for the fight. Managing team is answerable to people of India. Enquiry has to be made in this to find the truth.

This doctor should be fired. If you can't get an athlete under a weight cap, that's on you. An athlete shouldn't go through all this on the last day of her game! Their cortisol level increases under stress and they gain more water weight. Boxers and Bodybuilders go through this all the time.

Bhai i would blame the entire team including the participant herself. Why ypu need to go so edge to edge?... 100/200 gr kam weight hota toh haar jati kya... Itna risk leneki kya jarurat thi.. pehlesehi weight maintain karte.. last minute me "drastic" measure leke kya fayda

Very sad to hear. but complete blame on her coach. Why not keep 500g - 1kg deficit? Don't know what to say, unqualified Indian coach.
