Lost this movie in my memories until I saw the netflix tv show trailer and had some major flashbacks, Googled "90s space movies" and sure enough its the same story! Definitely gunna watch the show now.

You know what I thought was cool when this came out? The 60s TV series had the future take place in 1997 when the family launches into space. This movie came out a year after that setting. It felt like a good time for fans. It's like if Back to the Future had a remake in 2015, even though that didn't happen. Not saying it should.

This was a great movie! Didn't get great reviews at the time if I'm not mistaken but man, the 90's was awesome! Dark City, another fav, Event Horizon! The 5th Element!
