Buy MORE Carl Icahn (IEP) After The Hindenburg Short-Sell Hit Piece?

Carl Icahn Enterprises (IEP) took a huge hit yesterday on a Hindenburg short-sell report. Please see our last video on IEP if you want more info on what the company does and how I play it.

The report says the NAV of $13 is overinflated, and the distribution therefore is not sustainable. Many proponents of Icahn say the opposite, that premium companies deserve premium multiples above NAV.

Was this just simply a false hit piece that ultimately allows investors to acquire shares lower at an attractive price? Or were there any merits to the report? Looking at buying more shares, selling more puts, or running for the hills.

I sold half of the $1000, too much heat in the kitchen for me. Money management and keeping position sizing small is what really saved me.

The stock went up 29% today. Full recovery in progress after he announced the distribution is maintained.

I took a $90, 000 bath in value over the 2 days. Problem is I have 2000+ shares and 20 contracts that are 2000% underwater. I will try and hang on through the conference call to see if they will maintain the dividend. If not, I’ll probably take an even bigger realized loss.

They moved the call from the 5th to the 10th… so hopefully they will come out swinging.

I can appreciate your aggressive style but you are taking and promoting tremendous risk that could completely wipe you out and anyone who tries to replicate what you're doing. That level of margin is insane, especially in today's environment. I'm aggressive too and have paid for that heavily since late 21, but man you're at another level. You don't need to be that aggressive!

They think Ichon is diluting the shares, if you keep pushing shares into the market it makes it univestible, plus the investment Ichon has done are garbage, they lost money after COVID when the market was crushing it, that's why people are hating
