“Who lives in a pineapple under the sea”

A grocery store near me is selling pineapples without the spiky leaves. I call them anti piracy pinapples

Oh my family does this! We have five fully grown pineapples in pots in our kitchen (yes it takes up a lot of space) and they each produce a pineapple every year (it takes about two years after planting to get the first one)

Those brown ones at the bottom you could’ve pulled off as well before soaking it for roots. yeah it takes a couple of years to grow a baby from it. I had like six in pots around my yard. Lol

It took mine almost 4 years. It’s a huge decorative plant in a pot for me right now though and I think it looks nice so I don’t mind.

Hey I know people have educated themselves outside of social media (yeah right) but pineapples take at least 2yrs to produce fruit, sometimes longer & pineapples are tropical. This means that if you do not live in a tropical area you will need to keep it and grow it inside in a tropic like environment. (Just go research it outside or social media please.)

You can cut the dead ends off to make it look better. That’s what I did to mine after watching YouTube videos

My grandparents gave me a pineapple plant when I was younger and it took 5 years until it was ready to eat! Good luck!

i planted a pineapple just like you and it took 3 years to grow big enough to make a new pineapple and planting it with that method makes small but sweet pineapples

You can cut the top into 4 parts and each top can grow a pinapple. I've seen some videos.

Yep you definitely can... I've done it many times. You can also cut the top off and put it directly into soil and keep the soil moist and you can skip growing it in water 1st ;)

I’m glad you stuck with it. Now that it’s got roots it’s going to start looking better and better.

You can speed up plant growth by using grow lights and doing a 18 hour day/7 hour night cycle. You can do more or less.

My sister had one of these for probably 3 years, it was HUGE. But the dogs got to it😢

It takes at least a year, sometimes a lot longer, lol.
It will depend on a lot of different factors, but they are definitely neat plants even when they aren’t fruiting. And every time you cut the pineapple fruit off, the mother plant will produce pups (baby plants) and start the cycle all over again!
