Aperture Priority Mode - Sunrise Time lapse Tutorial

You were the first person to talk about aperture. Everyone else is talking about ND filters and post-production. I believe aperture is the way to go

An aperture of 8...14 was much too low for me when directly shooting into the sunrise. I may use a ND filter now.

Question. So if I want to use a nd filter for a sunrise timelapse, what strength would you recommend to start with ? I’m planning on shooting with canon Rf 600mm with fixed aperture of F11 because it’s a very distant sunrise with lots of houses and trees in between and I don’t want to crop so much
