I’ve been so frustrated with the wide scale adoption of ridiculously bright LED in car lights and street lights. I can tell it’s disturbing to my health just by looking at them. It’s like everything now is made to eff up our natural systems

I can tell the deep orange ones work because they feel so great and make me realise how truly bad the barrage of bright LEDs is (street lights, car headlights etc)

Blue blockers have helped my sleep immensely. When you put them on, you can actually feel your brain relax!
Also, I use only incandescent in my home, no LED light bulbs.

They work great for me. I dont even know how I used my PC without them. I definitely sleep better when I use them. Noticed a difference right away.

I use orange tinted blue blockers while watching screens at night but always felt that not being around screens at all gave me better sleep than relying on the glasses.

Thank you for the research as it explains what I was suspecting.

I recently had cataract surgery on both eyes. Blue light glasses have made a big difference in reducing the amount of eye strain and tired eyes from being in front of computer monitors for 8 to 12+ hours a day

I found ear inserts, from Flare, that also help. They pull out certain spectrums of sound that can be stimulating. Sleep is way more complex than melatonin and light. Unless you address it in multiple ways, yellow, orange, and red glasses will be mildly helpful at best.

I love my blublox (boncharge) glasses. Got a pair a few years ago for during the day that are yellow if am looking at a screen and a pair with red lenses for at night 🥰

Not sure about sleep but they definitely help with screen glare and harsh office lighting

TrueDark Twilight Classic glasses are the best and darkest red lenses. They look badass and block 100% of blue and green light spectrums. Best blue blockers I've ever worn.

I wonder if the blue light filter on smartphones works just as well?

about five years ago i worked with computer a lot and it triggered migraines and an eye strain for weeks. i started using blue light blocker glasses and it went away within days and i never stopped using them and it never came back. no orange, no tint. just yesterday forgot the glasses at home and I only noticed one hour in when my eyes started to hurt. when i put the glasses on from the beginning i can go almost forever. now i don't understand what the study measured but the blue light blockers make a significant difference in my life and hugely increase my time in front of a screen. if they say it is placebo, they may as well say disinfection is a scam or a chemotherapy is a scam. if it works, then it works.

BLB glasses had changed the game for me.

It’s not hard to do your own experiment. I have orange safety glasses that can go over my regular glasses. They were less than $20. I noticed a difference immediately. I absolutely have to have them on before bedtime or I can’t sleep.

I use my colour tint facility on my iPad and change the slider to further into the red zone. I’ve been using it a while and have now gotten used to it. Tbh if I look at a normal scene I find it too bright and sort of “shocking” if that makes sense

Blue blocker glasses fixed my "jet lag" from changing the clocks in 2 hours.
I don't really use the glasses anymore, but I use red lights in my house in the evenings when I'm getting ready for bed. My sleep has been excellent ever since.

I use a special red light in my room. I always wondered about my S.A.D. light, since it is bright 'blue' light, yet apparently it's good for me.
