Elton John performing 'I'm Still Standing' at Live Aid in front of 72,000 people in Wembley Stadium, London on the 13th July, 1985. The event was organised by Sir Bob Geldof and Midge Ure to raise funds for the Ethiopian famine disaster. Broadcast across the world via one of the largest satellite link-ups of all time, the concerts were seen by around 40% of the global population.

I always loved this version! Thanks for posting it! The way it just starts with a few piano chords...then kicks in with the band and horns. I also love the minor feedback through the speakers. It really captures that chaos and spontaneity of that hot July day. I still remember watching it all day when I was 16!

I’ve seen Elton live in cairns Australia, and his concert was Awesome. I couldn’t believe I was seeing him live. He sang I’m still standing. it’s my very favorite of all his songs.
