Hackerschool: Creating Simple Telegram Bots with Python
Показать описание
Telegram bots are small programs that can be embedded in Telegram chats or public channels and perform useful functions. Join this workshop to learn how to make your own Telegram bots! By the end of the workshop, you would have developed a bot using Python which performs simple functions like sending you cat pictures, or querying the availability of carparks!
Here's an outline for the workshop:
1. Introduction to Telegram Bots
2. Making API calls
3. Learning about the Telegram API architecture
4. Making Telegram bots with the `python-telegram-bot` library
Workshop is free and open to the public (not only NUS students), and basic Python and/or programming knowledge is preferred.
Speaker profile: Christopher Goh is a NUS Hackers coreteam member that drinks way too much coffee, sleeps way too little, and is passionate about all things computer science. He also enjoys teaching random workshops that helps people new to hacking get started with building fun and/or useful stuff for themselves.
