Two of the strongest kaiju within the monsterverse scrap with eachover!

Also I apologise for the long ass wait guys, my hiatus set me back like a month and plus ghidorah is a pain to animate so it would have naturally taken longer too. I'm getting back to schedule already so don't worry. But other than that, this animation was pretty fun to make, enjoy!

I like how within a week we got two epic ghidorahs fights from 2 good animators.

This one was gorgeous however. The dynamic camera placement and lighting this makes it looks so good.

I like the understanding that Shimo just doesn't want to fight and isn't in it to the death like Godzilla and Kong are. To clarify, I do absolutely think Shimo COULD win if given the time, but it doesn't feel in her character to fight to the death. The GxK novelization makes clear she's basically a walking tank Goji can basically only tickle and shove around even in his evolved form, but she also really just doesn't want to fight and doesn't seem to care that much about pride or position. It's also questionable what effect her breath would have on Ghidorah, also going off the novelization it doesn't just create ice, it's made up of a unique form of radiation that slows down molecules even to the point of absolute zero, so it's possible she could slow Ghidorah's regeneration quite a abit.

But like I said, Shimo is both in film and novel shown not to be someone who overly cares about the outcome of fights, she's rather juvenile in behavior, so I really like this ending where Ghidorah being as unkillable as he is makes it so she just takes the bow rather than risk dragging things out.

First it was Kevin (Left head, Ghidorah's perspective) in the King Titan face off. Now it was Ichi (Middle head) against Shimo. Perhaps the next time Ghidorah has a face off and get's one head detached it'll be Ni (Right head, Ghidorah's perspective).

From what I saw in a comment, Shimo's reason for retreating was to protect the world and not want to prolong the battle, right? because I can say that if he had continued the battle he would have won. So if he could tanked Godzilla's spiral heat ray without any injury, I don't even think Ghidorah's rays would tickle him. These rays did not cause any wounds on Godzilla's body, only Amped Ghidorah's beams hurt him, but there was still no injury. But I can easily say that this is one of your best animations so far and you are definitely the best in this business.🎉💫🔥

I like to see kaiju/titan fights which end like this, where it's akin to how a lot of fights with irl large apex predators would go. Both parties decide that the fight isn't worth risking their lives after a certain point and just walk it off.

I also like how it abides by the strengths of both fighters.

Shimo's physically stronger to a significant degree and retains that edge even after Ghidorah amps himself. Her resiliance also allows her to keep up with a regenerating opponent when both are injured. Both her strength and resiliance are demonstrated when she gets back into the fight after Ghidorah slams her head with an electricity charged melee attack and pins him to the ground again.

Ghidorah has skill, intelligence, speed and a wide toolset of abilities (including regeneration and flight to name a few) to deal significant damage. Ghidorah's ability to outlast Shimo is shown when he consistently regenerates from the damage dealt to him.

Ultimately the most straightforward wincons (win conditions) for both are that Shimo freezes Ghidorah solid (which is implied to have happened canonically) or Ghidorah outlasts Shimo through regen and deals enough damage to eventually kill her.

Both Ghidorah and Shimo are absolute powerhouses and forces to be reckoned with. Either of them would easily demolish some of the other high tier titans like Tiamat, MUTO-Prime or Mechagodzilla.
