This scene is my favorite in the movie, really showing the disgusting part of society by making all the crowd join in as soon as "she" starts singing really showing how easy it is to influence them and when eggs said "there lying" the guy stares at him like he killed someone truly showing how far this has gone and how they boo whenever they even say the word box trolls and how when the crowd joins in there not all singing together all jumbled really showing the chaos of the scene. perfect, chefs kiss

My first time watching this movie in theaters, I'm embarrassed to admit I didn't realize "Madame Frou- Frou" was Snatcher until the scene at the ball!

So that's the story of the Trubshaw Kid.

When you really think about it, the first four verses(?) of this song are the exact same, just rephrased. Snatcher is putting all the blame for Eggs being taken away on Herbert, completely glossing over the fact that it's Snatcher's own fault that it happened.
