Here's a recap of all the songs that competed for Ukraine in Eurovision Song Contest from 2003 to 2024. Please, enjoy!

Ukraine has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 19 times since making its debut in 2003. Ukraine has won the contest three times: in 2004 with "Wild Dances" by Ruslana, in 2016 with "1944" by Jamala, and in 2022 with "Stefania" by Kalush Orchestra, thus becoming the first country in the 21st century and the first Eastern European country to win the contest three times. The 2005 and 2017 contests were held in Kyiv. However, in 2023, UK’s Liverpool was selected as the host city due to the 2022 Russian invasion.

Since the introduction of the semi-final round in 2004, Ukraine is the only country outside of the "Big Five" to have qualified for the final of every contest they have competed in, and has been placed outside the top-ten only six times. Ukraine has a total of nine top-five placements, with Verka Serduchka (2007) and Ani Lorak (2008) both finishing second, Zlata Ognevich (2013) as well as Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil (2024) third, Mika Newton fourth (2011) and Go_A fifth (2021), in addition to its wins. The only countries with more top-five results in the 21st century are Sweden (13) and Russia (10).

Here are my favorites:

2004: Ruslana - Wild Dance
That song is everything that I love! Energy, joy, epic 😄!!!
Iconic winner 🏆!!! My winner too!!

2009: Svetlana Loboda - Be My Valentine
This song was a mess and chaotic! I like that 🤠!! I really love it!!

2010: Alyosha - Sweet People
This song does have a very true message I must admit! In my opinion it was a good entry. Not a masterpiece but still quite good!

2016: Jamala - 1944
I really love the performance, the vocals, the message, the emotion! Jamala definitely knows how to perform!

2020: Go_A - Solovey
This is what I want to hear from Ukraine 🇺🇦!!! This is purely hypnotic!!! I really love how it represents Slavic culture with a dose of modernity!!

2021: Go_A - Shum
Another masterpiece from Go_A!! They are really fantastic 😍! I wouldn't mind seeing them representing Ukraine every year!

2022: Kalush Orchestra - Stephania
Again Ukraine sending a song in its beautiful Slavic language and very well done!!

2024: Alyona and Jerry Heil - Maria and Teresa
This is my favorite Ukrainian 🇺🇦 entry ever!!! I listen to it on repeat! I love 😘 their voice, love the lyrics and especially adore 🥰 the Ukrainian language!!!!

Ukraine consistently sends bangers. It's not scared to experiment with different styles and stage the hell out of every song. Every year, i wait eagerly to see what Ukraine's cooked this time, because i know i will always appreciate the creativity and craftsmanship. 🇺🇦

So proud of my country being the only one that always qualifies into the Grand final and has the longest qualification streak. Love our talented artists and their amazing songs💙💛

A lot of discussion goes on about Sweden vs. Italy as the definitive Eurovision powerhouse

But let me ask, does Sweden have 100% qualification?

Did Italy win three times in 21 years, or twice since 2011?

Ukraine just GETS Eurovision, they make it look absolutely effortless to stage the hell out of any song, and supply such incredible songs sung by incredible artists!

No shade to Italy or Sweden, they’re amazing clearly, but imo Ukraine is a step above both when talking about the meaning of “powerhouse player” at this contest
