I once dedicated this song to my mother, and when the war broke out, the song took on a lot of new meanings.

Although there is not a word about the war in the song, many people began to associate the song with mother Ukraine. Moreover, society began to call it the anthem of our war!

But if Stefania is now the anthem of our war, I would like it to become the anthem of our victory.

Клип как никогда передаёт нынешнюю реальность: вокзалы, слезы матерей, разлуку, детей войны, спортзалы и матрасы, душевную опустошенность, надежду вернуться домой.

I don't know why some people are so surprised about Ukraine winning "because of solidarity". Eurovision has always been about politics at some point. I'm from one of the big five countries and we pay for most of the competition, it starts from there. If everything was 100% equal, there wouldn't be a big five party.

But besides that: This song slaps. It's unique, it has a cool beat that gets into the ear and stays in the brain. And can we talk about the flut parts, that are really freaking cool??
Even if there wasn't war: I'm pretty sure the Ukraine would've done pretty well. It's a cool song, the artists are cool as well. Let's celebrate the Ukraine and let them have at least some reason to smile, even if it's the win of something so unimportant as Eurovision. These men are now happy because of it and every Ukraine person deserves all the happiness in the world right now.

This win was maybe "helped" by war - but not because people in Europe felt pity or something,
This already powerful song hits even harder when you know what's happening in Ukraine. Listening to this song is now even more heart-wrenching, it moved people, teared their hearts apart.
Of all the songs, the Ukrainian one will live forever in people's minds. UK song was great, but it will never leave the same impact as "Stefania".
And that's why they deserved to win.
Yes, you can say "Ukraine won because thanks to war". But its like saying "Schindler's List" won an Oscar thanks to Holocaust...
