21:20 Nigel, will you please educate these people who say that Rishi Sunak is an unelected prime minister. Labour kept saying that as well, ignoring the fact that the last Labour PM Gordon Brown was in the same position as Sunak. More importantly, no PM is elected, only MPs are elected. They can then choose whoever they want as leader of the government as long as there is a majority for it in the parliament.

09:15 Can anyone direct me to a reliable source which substantiates the claim that in the early days (under Labour?) we processed asylum claims much faster and repatriated relatively large numbers of asylum seekers/illegal immigrants. I remember it being rumoured that when Labour realised they were facing a tidal wave of asylum claims from people fleeing the conflicts in the Middle East they instructed border force to avoid clogging up ports and airports by issuing them with work permits because we had large numbers of vacancies. So many rumours, so few hard facts.

These leaders like Sunak have always lived better than kings and know nothing of real struggles and real life....

No, would not trust sunat one bit. I look at who I could have a good pint with in a proper pub and have good banter and a laugh with. He has probably never been in a pub other than for a photo opportunity, he would be totally out of any comfort zone he may have which wont be much anyway. Nigel on the other hand I can see in the local and just having a proper good night out with good ale, good chat and a good laugh. Thats the difference for me.
