I don’t think she wears miniskirts and tight things to be sultry and inappropriate so much as a major point of Fran’s character: her confidence. That is unique, I can’t think of another female sitcom character that feels so good in her body (age thing aside).
Fran *knows* she has a great figure, good legs, a slim waist, etc., and isn’t coy about it.

everything about the nanny is just ICONIC. from the fashion, the comedy, her acting, even the intro animation and song are so memorable. truly one of the best shows of the 90s!

It's funny how back then, Fran was considered tacky.
But now in the present, her style is absolutely iconic and still relevant even after all these years.

I always loved how she would come down the stairs in the show in these gorgeous dresses with this look like “oh yeah, i know i look incredible”. It was so refreshing, she was never demure, always proud and confident!

The fact that Fran was 36 when the series started just floors me, she is such a babe.

fran has the best fashion i adore it so much, it's just so full of character which i feel is sorely lacking in a lot of shows nowadays

There’s a little Easter egg in I want to say season three where it’s revealed her little cousin Todd is actually a big fashion designer she says “ how old do you think I can afford to dress so fabulous on a nanny’s salary” which nicely tied up how she can afford such high end fashion. Love the video!!

I gotta say, shout out to CC's fashion style too! Perfect contrast to Fran but fashionable and chic in their own way as well!

There's an episode where Todd Oldham turns out to be Fran's "cousin Todd." And then she says to Max: "How do you think i can afford to dress like this?"

Fran was openly Jewish and unapologetically herself is a bigger breakthrough than more people realize.

A Jewish woman being unapologetically feminine and beautiful goes against soooo many stereotypes on Jewish women.

Her Outfits were protest and love for Jewish people.

Finding Cici's jacket from the trash while picking up Fran's wardrobe from Neiman Marcus is the most Niles thing.

When I was 15 I went to New York and saw Fran Drescher in the Broadway revival of Rogers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella. I’ll never forget the moment she stepped out onstage and the entire audience went nuts in applause. I still feel blessed to have been in her presence for a moment of time.

I watched the series 4 times. I don't get why FRIENDS get so much hype, its so corny, Frans writing, comedic timing, fashion, content is so progressive! Its universal too. Long live The Nanny!
