Review of Peacefair PZEM-051 100A DC Current Power meter

Tested with 75mV 50A Shunt and 75mV 100A shunt at 60A, 50A, 40 A, 30A, 20A, 10A, 5A, 2A, 1A, 0.5A, 0.1A.

So is the precision higher with the 50A shunt than the 100A shunt? In other words, if the price difference is negligible (which it is), if I am only going to be using this in the range 10-40A (electric bike at 48V), is it better to stick to the 50A shunt for higher accuracy than going with the 100A (for future proofing/repurposing), or are they the same precision-wise?

Hi, are you tried a non static current (dc ripple current)?I would like use it to input of solar dc/ac converter, but current isn´t static, so i don´t know, if this meter measure "average" current value. THX

Hi, very helpful video. Thanks. Does the logger keep a record of the energy if it is turned off? I am using it to measure the energy output of a wind turbine, which will be the DC power supply. The wind turbine will be on and off over the month I want to measure its energy output for. Will the unit record all of the energy produced, without resetting when turned off?

Great video... Will this meter also measure Negative amps ? or only positive amps ?

The circuit diagram measures voltage from shunt Lo to DC+ rather than from DC- to DC+. That seems to assume an IR drop of 0 through the shunt lo to DC- wire. That is probably close for low currents but I am inclined to attach that wire directly to DC- to measure the supply voltage and calculated values to include the energy dissipated between the shunt and DC-. Am I missing something?

You need to add some metel to your stunt to bring it closer to the correct amperage

I have this same unit.
I want to use it to monitor my electricity usage on my camper.
Your video was a bit more details than I needed.
Just to be sure. It monitors AC current or both? AC & DC?
I was just looking for a simple diagram to connect it to my AC or both AC/DC if possible
