I toured this in 1974, I was 9 years old. I never forgot it.

I went in there a couple weeks back! It was like a never ending series of 5 star hotel lobbies. It went on and on but never really went anywhere.

I'm not Mormon but Catholic, but I have to say that is a stunningly beautiful building inside and out. It seems incredibly tranquil in there.

So, in the afterlife you get to spend all eternity with your family? But, what do you get if you've been good though?

As a Jew, I have experienced only mutual respect and caring from my Mormon friends and neighbors. They have never tried to evangelize me (unlike other Christians), and for that I’m deeply grateful. Whenever I see missionaries in my town, I always say hello and thank them for their service to the church. Thank you for highlighting this positive aspect of the church.

Ed O'Keefe and who ever else had a hand in putting this together, thank you so much for such putting together such an honest and open segment on my church and our temples! Media tends to take things out of context or portray their own agenda...I'm grateful for you meeting with apostles from my church, genuinely asking questions, sincerely listening to answers, and helping others see who we truly are and what is fundamental to us❤️

My grandparents have been fighting all their lives, even staying in separate rooms, they can’t even last a lifetime much less an eternity

I’m from Northern Virginia and have had the privilege to attend this temple in the past. Myself, along with the 10’s of thousands of members in the area, are immensely excited for the temple to be open once again! This segment was also wonderful for those who haven’t had the opportunity to see inside of it! Thank you CBS!

I got to go in on the open tour. Very fascinating and beautiful place! I’m not Mormon but the Mormon people are very nice and welcoming.

Thank you! I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I appreciate your respect and reverence in covering this story. For anyone curious, I would encourage you to go and see for yourself.

I’m a Catholic myself but you definitely want neighbors who are LDS. Great people, prepared for any emergency and always willing to lend a hand. I served in the Marine Corps with a couple of LDS guys and they were outstanding. Down to earth, great sense of humor who fit in with everyone. The Department of Defense actually has an approved “garment” for them (we call it underwear) so they can stay observant and still serve our country.

My father worked there when I was young. Then in my youth we were living in the area again. Many precious memories here. Love to see the temple.

My cousin is mormen and i went to visit him in Utah and went to his church and was very impressed on the well maintained and administerd the property is. It shows that the money givin to the church is well spent and invested, i admire that! I am still chatholic, but i also respect and admire all religions !

I remember my friend and I visited (we weren’t mormon but there is a visitor center) and we took a sneak peek through the front doors. Two old men with white hair in white suits were at a long white marble counter (1 on each side) and they simultaneously smiled at us. It was so strange, and I get that feeling watching this too. And when you go to the visitor center they have someone immediately come to you and give you a pamphlet to try to give you some type of good impression.
