every time i hear this song, it stirs memories of him—a person I no longer speak to, yet still hold close in my heart. the melody paints a picture of him, learning tricks on the skateboard his grandma lovingly gave him. though i never witnessed it, i feel as if i was there, watching him master each move, his smile brightening the day. i think of him often, with a quiet wish that he’s found happiness, wherever he may be.
