I was introduced to AWOL by a dude in a boat. I was night fishing on a lake and I started hearing this song in the distance, just kept getting louder and louder as this badass party barge just slowly came out of the darkness and passed by blaring this song, it was fucking amazing.

Haven't listened to this song in 9 years and never thought to revisit it. Used to play this on repeat summer of 2012 while sneaking my kindle fire I saved up for to play minecraft during those warm nights. Still young but time really flies.

12 years ago now. This came out when I was working on my dissertation for my doctorate. I used to listen to this over and over and over again when I was struggling the most. Those were some difficult, sometimes very dark days. This song resonated. It is a powerful song.

My cousin is just about to pass away from a horrible motorcycle accident and this was his FAVORITE song. When I heard the news, all I could think of is this one time we were playing a family softball game and for his walk up song he said to play this song and ended up walking up to home plate as if he was Bath Ruth pointing to the outfield like he was call his shot.
