It can be really scary the first time your dog has a seizure in front of you. I will be explaining what to do for your dog during the event and how to spot one coming on, and what to expect afterwards. I will talk about when medical care is needed and what they might do at the veterinary office to help diagnose and treat your pets condition. I will teach you what we in the veterinary office wish you all knew!

***Use this information, as a form of EDUCATION. I am NOT a supplement for good Veterinary care.

I hope I have educated you on the stages of seizures and what to do if they won’t stop or are having many a day. If you have any questions, please leave them below.
Please remember I'm here for YOU, you are here for your Pet!

Thank younfor this video, my 16-year-old cattle dog just had a seizure in her sleep about an hour ago. She's never had on before. She wandered around confused for about an hour and is now finally sleepiing. We will take her to the vet as soon as they open, but this put me more at ease that this isn't the end for her. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this video. My dog just just got back from the vet after having an epilepsy seizure. I have never had anything like this happen before, and i was so scared. This video really helped me understand better. Thank you ❤

Excellent video, Jill. It's pretty scary watching one of your fur babies have a seizure. Especially when you don't know why. If it's scary for you, it is definitely scary for them as well. Good tips and great advice! Thanks.

Thank you for posting this. My dog (the little Boston in my profile picture) is epileptic and had gone 18 months without a seizure until yesterday and today. We're working with the vets and we're probably going to adjust her medication (we went to the emergency vets yesterday, rang them again today but they said they didn't think she needed to come in again as we've already gotten the ball rolling and there's not much else they can do). It's hard to remember what to do with it having been so long! Thankfully her seizures aren't grand mal, the worst she's ever had is just stiffening up but sometimes it's just a focal seizure, but the postictal stage is the hardest to deal with since it lasts the longest. Currently going through that stage now, she's just completely exhausted and has very little balance.

My dog had a seizure 3 weeks ago. The doctors did the blood work and it came normal.
I want to know that is there something that triggers the seizures and also what are the chances of another episode.

my dog recently escaped out of our yard and was picked up by animal control and taken to a shelter I quickly found him but before they released him he was given three vaccinations
DAPP FR SQ
RABIES RR SQ
BORDIN
when I picked him up he seem fairly normal and within a few hours he just seemed weak and start having seizures I took him to UC Davis but they just start telling me all these things that it could be and all these thousands of dollars of cost to find out by neurologist and MRI they prescribed him some generic KEPPRA he wouldn't take it but I had to force him but not too long after giving it time he had another seizure I don't know what to do this is so sad and depressing

So my GS is 8 and he had a 2-3 seizures in a day yesterday. We took him to vet he put him in medications and get him blood test. Blood test was normal and vet was like he’s going to be okay. I am so terrified and anxious

I went thru horrifying seizures with my dog. The cure was antacids if i ever hear bubbles in the belly and a complete diet change with no human food and no dog shelf treats.

my dog just had her first seizure. it only lasted about a minute and is acting normal now but it scared me so much i still want to cry.

she was behind me when i felt her bumping into my chair. I look back, thinking she is just scratching herself, and see her convulsing. I get up immediately and basically throw the 60lb chair across the room to clear some space and just sit with her until it was over. i think she knows how scared i was because she keeps coming over to give me love.

her name is luna and she is a cattledog mix she is about 8. i have had her since birth (we owned her mom)

Watch $AQST stock as FDA decision on April 28th could make Libervant a game-changer, potentially replacing EpiPens with their effective, easy-to-use sublingual film which is like a listerine strip. Could be a great video idea because it’s going to change the medical field and many animals and people’s lives.

This is useless. What is needed is immediate action not taking the animal to the vet.
