I ordered the Siege version of G1 Prowl off of Ebay a couple of weeks ago. He came in about a week ago. Great review, by the way, he is one of my favorite G1 Autobots from Season One.

Chef, that's already the Takara version too. The brand unification is already in effect for the Siege line and the TakaraTomy branding is already printed in the box, so whatever is going to be released in Japan is also that exact same figure that you have. As for your review, I love it!

Got this guy earlier. I love this figure a lot more than I thought. I hope we get a Bluestreak and Smokescreen repaint soon.

They are also making a Barricade with the same mold, and he has shoulder cannons. Those are mainly for Barricade

Prowl shoulder cannons were removed from his design in the transition from the original toy to the G1 cartoon and the same applies to any recent incarnation. The ports on the Siege version are meant to be used for Bluestreak (already announced) and possibly Smokescreen which share the same mold but have been consistently portrayed with shoulder cannons.

This version of G1 Prowl looks great! I will have to pick this one up in a couple of weeks.

When you find any text though there are other pictograms that have a specific meaning like a city name or a Term like 'Prime' that are listed as Cyberglyphics.

They certainly didn't do right by the paint apps; I got a copy of Prowl with perfectly done paint apps...but the black on the chest & doors is wearing away pretty badly. Seems like it's from the same family as the silver paint that Bandai America used on the Overdrive Tracker, the Morpher from 2007's Power Rangers Operation Overdrive. (*That* thing was pretty badly worn out merely a _week_ after I got it)

As a trade-off for perfectly done paint apps, however, the hips & knees are a floptastic mess. Standing him upright isn't difficult by any stretch, but standing him STRAIGHT requires quite a bit of experimentation. At least it's doable, unlike Siege Megatron.😒

Combiner Wars Prowl was a NICE retool of the Deadend mold, and he wears it better than Streetwise...but Siege Prowl IS my Classics Era Prowl...that is, unless they retool that Earthrise Smokescreen to give us Prowl & Bluestreak. 😏 Oh, and it's Cybertronian, not Japanese. They did it for Barricade, too (who has the retooled head for Smokescreen).

Had the same problem with paint in the US had to pass on the figure because there was no good ones. This whole wave seems to have issues because I ended up buying ironhide and his paint wasn’t perfect either although better than the prowls.

The letters on the doors they're cybertronian letters says police both doors.

Except for the hollowness in the lower leg, I think he looks great. Still on the fence about replacing my classics Prowl with him though.

My prowl and iron hide came out perfect with the paint

Prowl never had the shoulder guns on the cartoon, I kinda like it, but not sure about paying full retail.
