A mentor of mine, Cindy Sadler, came to me with their lyrics and I knew I needed to create this video. I hope you enjoy Mary's response to the Christmas song we all know and l o v e.

Enjoy!

I need you to know that I watch this annually now to prepare myself for the season 😂

I play this every Christmas since it was published. When it comes down to it, she's the actual reason for the season (er... for Christians that is... ).

To those still debating just what Mary knew, if Gabe forgot to mention Jesus would save "your sons and daughters", Joseph could have filled her in. He is explicitly told that Jesus would be the savior. And by the end of Luke's nativity, Mary herself proclaims defiantly,
"For he that is mighty hath magnified me: and holy is his Name.
And his mercy is on them that fear him: throughout all generations.
He hath shewed strength with his arm: he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.
He hath put down the mighty from their seat: and hath exalted the humble and meek.
He hath filled the hungry with good things: and the rich he hath sent empty away."

I could never pinpoint why this song always bothered me, but you delivered the message perfectly. Thank for saying what I couldn’t say!

Anyone who has read the Magnificat understands that Yes, Mary did know, and was a willing participant

I absolutely LOVE this song and delivery! (pun intended). I thought my sister and I were the only ones who thought this.

You've answered the questions perfectly! I've always thought that song was silly and everytime I heard it I yelled at the radio, YES SHE KNEW! 😅

I love absolutely everything about this! “ ‘The dumb shall speak’ refers to you” especially! 🤣 I’ve always had problems with the original song too. This is amazing

Nevermind the fact that the whole reason she's the baby mama is because god knew her heart and her faith and chose her specifically. "Mansplaining her own pregnancy" is my favorite line

The Christmas song we’ve all been waiting for.

Great parody!

That being said... In all fairness, Mary probably didnt know that her son would walk on water or give sight to a blind man, or all the little details that came with Jesus being the messiah. I don't think the song is disrespectful or intends to be condescending in any way, for me its a cool way of imagining how Mary must have felt carrying literally God incarnate in her womb.

It's literally in the Bible that the angel Gabriel said that she was going to have a son and he is going to die for our sin and also she was going to name him Jesus Christ

Brilliant! My wife hates the original song. I like it but I also love parodies. Wonderful vocals and creative lyrics. Well done you two.
