Hindus say the Gyanvapi mosque in the northern Indian city of Varanasi was built on the ruins of a revered Hindu temple. For years, Hindu nationalists have wanted this perceived historical wrong to be righted, by being given the entire property to build a temple.

In the west we are celebrating the BLM movement by removing past symbols of oppression and colonisation. Why the double standard when it comes to India?

People who are concerned of minority rights should visit Siwan, Bihar. Per capita Mosque is at least 10 times the per capita Temple. In some localities you can see three mosque by standing at the same place.

Gyanwapi mosque used to be kashi viswanath temple .
It was destroyed by auranzeb 400 years ago .
Even the walls of mosque are made up of hindu temple walls .

Can you show a picture of the mosque where we can see the old temple structure still intact in the mosque, as the mosque was built by integrating the left over structure of the temple after destroying it, I wonder why dw has so carefully showed only those parts of the mosque which are not having the temple structure

Imagine if someone demolished the Kaaba and built a Church or a Synagogue on top of it and that too using it as a foundation stone for another religion’s place of worship………
Now you would get a tinge of the cringe Hindus feel looking at the Mosques in Kashi and Mathura, which are are standing on pillars of our wantonly demolished temples. Even a blind man can touch the wall and tell you that it is an ancient carved temple wall.
It is proudly proclaimed by Aurangzeb how he has broken the most important Hindu places of worship and established Islam on them. Go and read the Mugal historians for proof.
It is time some barbaric atrocities of antiquity are set right, if not in a civil manner (as should be), then by power of our might 💪🏽

Majority of mosques are built on other religious sites.
Respecting other religions isn't in islam ideology.
