DONNA SUMMER MacArthur Park EXTENDED

If I had to name my Top 3 records by Donna Summer, this has to be among them if not my favourite! The vocal, the arrangements and the sheer majesty of the recording overall. A classic from 1978, 'MacArthur Park' has been extended, remixed numerous times and this is a pretty faithful re-edit of the original. Originally found on her 'Live & More' double album from that year, 'MacArthur Park' was a cover of the Richard Harris 1968 smash hit. Penned by Jimmy Webb, in Donna's version the title is never mentioned per se, but 'MacArthur's Park is! The disco gem was the first #1 that Donna Summer achieved on the Billboard Pop chart. There are three other mixes of this incredible song on my channel, all by Donna! It still amazes me 45 years on...
