Understanding prostate cancer: risk factors, screening and treatment

Michael Liss, MD, a urologic oncologist at UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center, specializes in genitourinary cancers, specifically prostate cancer. His patients say he is “attentive and patient” and he gives them “confidence in looking forward to positive outcomes.”

Dr. Liss is the site principal investigator for one of the largest cooperative clinical trial groups in the world, known as SWOG or the Southwest Oncology Group. He is also an active member of the cancer center's genetics and high-risk cancer screening clinic which focuses on patients at high risk for kidney and prostate cancer.
