Lawson, Nichols, and Thomas: Tough Questions Christians Face (Seminar)

Scripture reveals all that we need to know for salvation and to live to the glory of God. While that doesn’t mean the Bible directly answers every question we’ll ever raise, it does mean that God’s Word provides principles for answering the challenges we face today. In this seminar, Drs. Steven Lawson, Stephen Nichols, and Derek Thomas address several challenging questions that Christians face, drawing from Scripture to provide wise and well-informed answers.

Introduction (0:00)

Questions

1. How should Christians interact with homosexual or transgender family members, friends, or colleagues? (1:10)
2. How can Christians remain faithful in the workplace when their colleagues or bosses are hostile toward Christianity? (10:58)
3. What's the difference between approving of peoples' sinful lifestyles versus treating them with the dignity that they possess as image bearers of God? (21:31)

Lawson is so encouraging as he sticks with the Word of God…. With no compromising yet a tender straightness. So uplifting to the Lord and believers of Christ.

These questions point so much to how much more difficult it is becoming. Not a new thing but new to this generation. It’s heartbreaking

Always helped by Ligonier. The challenges are mounting. Your constant reminders to know and trust God's Word are necessary and strengthening. "Jesus subscribed to an inerrant Scripture." Thank you.

I only listened to the first 10 minutes and am stunned at poor, weak, unbiblical answers from Nichols and Thomas.
Thank you Steve Lawson for the truth and clarity of your response.

Thank you for this prompt reminder! Though it may be difficult for us, over time and with patience Christ in His grace knows the way. He knows what needs to be done. Even if we see no light at the end of the tunnel, in faith we continue to believe and hope in Him. While sin remains there will always be suffering. With patience, hope and love we grow in our knowledge of Him, even when it may seem all has failed us. ❤😊

I agree with Dr. Lawson. The only alternative for me, is for my son or daughter to repent of their sinful ways, and accept the mercy of God through Jesus Christ our Savior and redeemer

Bless the Name of the LORD, our God and our God bless you Dr Lawson, and other men of God, for reminding us about The Inerrant Word of God, and how The Gospel of Jesus Christ, Is the Only Answer to All of us, as sinners, for this is the spiritual state we are born into, because of Adam/Eve, who were made perfect until they sinned against their Holy Father/Creator. Only thru the message of the Repentance Confession, Belief, in Jesus, which comes from God to us as repentant sinners, to follow Jesus Christ, for He is the Only Way, the Truth, and the life, and the Only Way to the Father. For Jesus holds the keys of hell and of death.
Today, this day, which He has made, we have the choice to believe in Him, to choose, and live, by His help, obey Him, for we can only live this Christian Life, by the power of the Holy Spirit, as we seek Him daily and thru the day as we talk to Jesus. For the cross Jesus, He died on, and the message of repentance/forgiveness/new heart transformation with different desires/affections, by His Holy Spirit, He gives us, is the the gift of His Grace/Mercy to us. This was the Only Way for the Holy God, our Father, to allow for a sinful generation after the fall of Adam/Eve, for us to be reconciled to The Holy Father God. He is Holy and the Perfect Only Sinless Begotten Son of God, was the Only Way for us to have Peace and Fellowship/ Relationship with Him, was thru Jesus. Without the shedding of blood, there is no remission of sin. And this was the Father's True Act of Love, to allow us to have fellowship with Him.
Harden not your heart today, ask Him to show you the life of Jesus, speak to Him, confess to Him that you dont know Him and need His help ask Him, confess to Him you dont know Him and need His life, His heart His Holy Spirit to help you, start with John 3:16, to help you change your heart/your life, and thank Him every day/ right now, thank Him for your life and His message of repentance, confess your sins to Him/ seek Him, and a bible teaching verse by verse, Bible grounded teaching church, and ask Him to help your unbelief, So, that you/we, may live eternally with Him and the Father, and miss that (in the book of Revelation 21;8, and other places found/ talked about in the New Testament or in book of Revelation), the Eternal Lake of Fire, which Scripture says the worm dieth not, gross darkness, the weeping and gnashing of teeth, the fire quencheth not, and The Eternal separation from

It is so difficult. I went about it the wrong way when I was first saved and my son and other family have told me they don’t want me to talk to them about God anymore. I’ve tried to share the Gospel, but my brother and sister have said they don’t want me to proselytize their children. I just pray for God to open their eyes and ears to the truth, give them grace for repentance and send people across their paths to share the Gospel. It has caused me to really distance myself from my family. We have so little in common. I’d love to share Christ with them but they fully reject that through either their Agnosticism or Catholicism and it breaks my heart.

It is so helpful and encouraging to hear these faithful men of God speak to us all of these difficult issues at hand. Praise God for them clearly speaking and for instilling in us to follow our Lord’s teachings all the way.
Excellent presentation. 🙏🏼

Only Lawson gets to the biblical point quickly without long obscure answers lacking scriptural references.

I think the reason why it is now so difficult to speak to the homosexual/trans gender issue today is that pastors generally have been stone cold silent on these issues in the past. Not clear on the issues. Now the chickens have come home to roost. So now the pastors have learned a new skill. Dodge ball. Obfuscation.
