This is actually a really good explanation. When asked why galaxies/planetary systems/rings etc fall into a flat plane, people too often just say "because angular momentum must be conserved" and leave it at that, as if that actually explains it. 

Explaining how angular momentum manifests itself, and how it is conserved, actually gives such a better understanding.

0:05, Comets are actually not part of the plane. They come from all directions, and originate from the oort-cloud, which also does not follow the flat solar system.
This makes Comets much harder to predict than Asteroids, as asteroids are always in the plane of the solarsystem, but comets can be anywhere.
