Ever since I started searching for jobs, I’ve been very curious to find out whether employee referrals help with the process. Whether they allow you to stand out as a candidate.

So in my job application tracker, which is a spreadsheet where I track all of my job applications and progress (if you’d like more information on that, I’ve made a video on the topic too), I’ve been tracking whether I’ve been referred for a position or not. To find out what the response rate is. Here are my findings!

Let me know if you have any ideas/comments! ✨👩‍💻

What an analysis! I feel many similarities to myself when I hear you disassemble the process of looking for a job into smaller events. I’m working in data analyst field now.
I hope you do find a job, which you’ll enjoy doing on BAU ;)

We're on the same wave. Right now, I'm activated for looking for a job. I think that referrals are a piece of the working puzzle. They're a sheet of the book. But, we have care of false illusions, sometimes, the paper hold whatever. In my opinion, a smart employer may to consider referrals for selection of candidates, but the last and biggest decision came from the face to face interview. We're humans not robots. Not anything is resolved through algorithms and handbooks

Really good personal analysis. You come with Google view but most companies are not that structured

I have an interview in 2 days and I am wondering if I should mention during my interview that 2 of their staff actually refered me for the job. Will it help or increase my chances??
