STOP saying that $500 phones are budget phones!!! They are midrange! Budget is under $300!

It won't happen but I do hope eventually we go back to camera lenses being flat. I remember I loved that about the first Pixel. It was a wedge-shaped design but the fact it could lay completely flat was so nice.

I have using pixel 6a for last 2.5 years. It has gorilla glaas 3 and i have dopped it N numbers of time. Still running fine without any issue

I was planning on switching from my S21 FE to this, but I don't like that screen-to-body ratio. At least the bezel thickness is symmetrical on all sides. It looks like Google intentionally tries to differentiate more the a and non-a series to persuade you to buy the bigger model. Anyway, thanks for the review!

Seriously, people care about bezels?! Maybe it's just me who still remembers (fondly) all the smartphones from 2008 onwards... To me the race to the slimmest bezel is kind of like the race to the thinnest phone: some arbitrary goal over substance.

And I completely agree with everything else you've said: I can reach the top of the screen with one thumb, I can lay the phone flat (especially with a case), it has a simplistic and utilitarian look, an Android distro directly from Google, seven (count them, seven) years of security upgrades, and the battery life is gonna be humongous (partially thanks to a smaller display and clean Android).

This is actually the first phone I'm genuinely excited about in many years. I only wish it had a headphone jack but I'll take what I can.

We will be replacing a 7a and a 6a with 2 of the new 9a. I like the design and Pixel just nails the photos and updates. Everything else is just a preference.

Switching from Samsung because i dont have the update yet. Had a 4a and loved it so im sure this phone will be great for me.

The nice things about this phone are good battery size and no camera bump. I could live with that lackluster tensor chip as I don't play games but that huge bazels like 10 years ago killed it for me, sorry no pixel 9a for me I think I'll spend little more and go for Xiaomi 15.
