If your doubling a part I strongly suggest same guitar different pickup and change amp settings. intonation can be a bitch.

I thought bar chords “weren’t musical” according to your last short

And yet they have a fantastic use don’t they, when you’re playing with someone and you want to both do rhythm and they’re already doing open chords, bar chords can be great, and you can also start doing fractions of arpeggios off them between strums for slight fluorish
