Lucifer and his fallen angels didn't want to bow down to human beings because humans are created from earth and nature. Lucifer had a superiority complex because angels are made out of light/fire and he thought humans were inferior but humans have light within them and are the most advanced creation. That's why God told angels to bow down to Adam and Eve. About 1/3 angels rebelled against God and followed Lucifer so they became devil's/demons.
