Some states place these cable barriers more toward the center of the median instead of near the shoulder of the road. Wonder which location is optimum?

After a accident the information should be sent to the installers right away!!.. just as when they tow the car

Just curious, do you call these in when you find them? It's a rediclous amount that are messed up

without ending states immunity on this even though these are designed for quick repair. all it takes is a mini excvator to be dropped off with a thumb to pluck the post out of the ground then you have the hole for the new post. stick the new post in the hole fill with low slump concrete plumb the post then go to lunch. come back bolt everything up and the job is done. its really a shame these departments of transportation dont have dedicated crews for these repairs with a sizable stock of repair parts. if the state was held liable they would have repair crews on site at the same time as the tow trucks

I know of friends that had legs and arms Amputated and one was Decapitated by them.

Has any Studies been done on the safety of Motorcyclists?

It shouldn't be that hard to make repairs within a week of the accident, but that's just me.
