Using fusion for almost a year now and just finally needed to align something precisely. Used autocad for 30 years and was wondering how to accurately snap things. Thank you sir!

What did you push to "do a search" for the Align command? You skipped a few explanations here I think.

After i found out how to do search this was a game changer.

Used sketch to mark points a set distance and angle away and then after a few clicks had parts alligned to those points 😁

Also, you can continue to align faces, edges, etc without confirming and exiting the align procedure each time. Just do all your alignments, then click ok.

Sometimes it just really as simple as finding the right tool in the UI, thanks tho I didn't expect it to be in the modify menu in solids!

Man this was so crips and to the point. I wasted hours yesterday listening to this guy take about an hour, just to explain how to use joints, and then I still didn't get it (I'm dumb and he talks too much!). This was really what I needed to advance my newbie status up a notch. Thank you so much. By the way, for now all I want to do is design a 3D printer frame from 2060 aluminium (horizontals) and 2040 (verticals). Any videos on working with profiles inserted from the parts websites, would be really well received by me.

Can you lock it to one axis so it only aligns to the reference point in for example the z axis? When I align it usually shifts in the other axis.

First Question. How do you get that design shortcut pop up to type align into

How do you align angle.
So holes on one object line up with holes on another for example.
Point to point works if the angle doesn't matter, but when you need the angle to line up for multiple bolt holes, that's when I don't know what to do.

After I select my first face, I often need to orbit around an object to select my second face for alignment but the orbit tool grays out the align panel and re-engaging the select tool makes the panel disappear entirely. What am I doing wrong?

why you don't tell what keys are you pressing?

you can also align bodies that will get random parts to light up so you can cut them
