We need to fix our current cities. Improve the infrastructure, fight time, do something about the homelessness and drug problem evident in our CBDs, clean our cities and improve housing, less squatter camps and better housing in areas fit to be proper neighborhoods, increase jobs in less popular areas to control the number of people coming into bigger cities.

I think if they do it, it should be more affordable apartments for people instead of more Steyn City type lf estates that average South Africans cannot afford

Smart cities are just another word for an area under surveillance and control. Please fix the dire state of the Eastern Cape first. Children have to cross rivers and walk 8 km just to get to school and then still have to stop at a communal well to pump water to take a bucket of water home with them.
