I may be a homoromantic aceflux… honestly, this is new to me, and I didn’t see it listed anywhere on AVEN during my brief tenure (my self-label was “homoromantic asexual” or “gay ace, ” though it didn’t feel 100% right).

It’s clear I lean more toward the allo- side of the spectrum than the ace side, and I seem to have underlying issues that indicate a repression of some form in regard to relationships, most likely from a time in childhood when being openly LGBTQIA+ was still a mainly taboo subject, and at some point my young mind must’ve chosen to “be straight” in order to avoid any issues later in life; this then led to my first (and thus far only) attempt at starting a relationship with someone, which led to my heart being broken at the worst possible time, and set back my self-esteem by many years.

Long story short, I eventually realised I’d been frozen so deeply in Narnia (aka “the closet/wardrobe”) since the turn of the Millennium that everyone knew, or at the very least assumed, I was gay before I did, including the girl who unintentionally broke my heart _and_ one of my male school friends who, in highly ironic retrospect, may have had an unrequited crush on me (and I may have had a similar crush on him, though was too naïvely unaware of my identity to know for certain)… 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have watched all of your label videos and there are so many labels but the one that does 100% resonate with me, would still have to be created. The most important thing I've learned from those videos, is that ones sexuality can be so much more individual and complex than any of those labels. I would need so many different labels to describe myself, that It kind of erases the point of using a label for my sexuality in the first place. In the end this one combined with some psychological labels would be the most fitting for me, but those labels alone still wouldn't describe me 100%, without adding a good explaination.

The labels might help explaning and understanding asexuality and some of it's different variations/directions to some extend, but we definitely shouldn't forget, that most of us aren't that one dimensional to be described by labels.

I honestly thought there was a Cyndaquil amiibo tucked in between the Blathers and Kirby ones… until my vision realised it’s actually two _very_ different characters that, for a brief moment, registered in my visual cortex as an optical illusion… 😅

So would this be the same for Aromantic people? Like Aceflux but for romance?
