What a change. It looks awesome. I've got my peep and stick marble looking paper. I'm definitely doing it. My home is 60 years old and original. The countertops were canary yellow. Just imagine. It was so ugly. I used a countertop granite system about 10 years ago and it has done well but it so dark. I really dislike it so I'm going light and bright too. Thank you for the motivation!

This really looks surprisingly good! Also still so impressed with the painted cupboards!!!!Also like the matte paper! Thank you for sharing the struggles - sometimes people make it look so easy. I have to say that I usually dont like "fake" surfaces, but the granit looks a little bit like it hast different colours (the part on the wall and the countertop seem to be a little bit different) and i think that would also bother me. Tip for tumeric/curry staines: They are in fact light sensitiv, so the should fade overt time until they vanish. If it is something like a cutting board, etc, you can speed the processe up by putting the item into sunlight.

Super helpful tutorial. And it came out beautifully.
I’ve literally been wanting to try this for But, was just too scared to bite the bullet. I’ve even seen so many tutorials, but NONE as in depth or as thorough as this video. Thanks for the wear test ahead of the drop and the added tidbits about the blow dryer method vs a heat gun. Everything about how you guys do things really resonates with me.
I’m totally convinced and excited to do it now
🥰🤗👏🏾

Your testing covered all of the bases. Thanks! Your results look great. I have recovered my countertops with contact paper. It seemed to last about 3 yrs or a little more before it began to crack. Another thing. In the area where I wiped the most the pattern began to fade a lot. It was a granite pattern and like your original countertop it was hard to tell if I wiped all of the crumbs. I'd like to try marble like you used.

here there. i saw your older video about the burlap door panels you made. i know it has been a while since you posted this, hoping you still see my message. do you still have these doors? how is it working after all these years since you made them? any issues you had to fix since? another question please, you mentioned you SUBTRACTED 1/4 inches of each side (all 4 sides) of the panels to fit the hinges, is that correct? thanks.
