"After all this time? - Always."

Always wanted to do one video about this touching story and the character. It always made my heart wrench and I always considered it most delicate to make a video about it. I hope you'll like it, thank you!

The most misunderstood character in story-telling history. And one of the best Alan Rickman performances.

‘Look at me.
You have your mother’s eyes’

He wanted Harry to look at him because the last thing he wanted to see before he died was Lily’s eyes.

This tribute is amazing.

Snape was called a coward 3 times in the movies.

First, by Bellatrix Lestrange, in his own home. Much to Lestrange's surprise, Snape disproved her by making the Unbreakable Vow to protect Draco.

Second, by Harry, after Snape had killed Dumbledore, as his duty had been to do so. He didn't fight back, because Harry was the very one he was trying to protect.

Third, by McGonagall, after he had to escape rather than defend the reason he killed Dumbledore, for fear of exposing their plan to seemingly redirect the path of the Elder Wand.

He took verbal and physical beatings, and there came a point where they didn't hurt anymore, because he knew that the work that he was doing was going to ensure Harry's success and the Dark Lord's defeat. He stopped caring about what people thought of him, and continued to care for the child that gave him some memory of Lily, and who gave him some light in a seemingly endless dark tunnel. Harry gave Snape a sense of hope for the future of the Wizarding World, even if he himself wouldn't be around to see it.

Whether you like him or not, you have to recognise the noble acts of bravery and resilience Severus Snape undertook for the sake of the Wizarding World. Harry would have died without Snape.

This man is no coward.

To quote the Joker: “in their last moments, people show you who they really are”

You get to Deathly Hallows and you realise that the Potions teacher you hated is actually the most selfless character, more than Dumbledore who you realise searched for power over family. #Always

Harry's first words for Snape:
'Who's that man, in there?'

Harry's last words for Snape:
'He's probably the bravest man I ever knew!'

The way he holds Lily's dead and cold body in his arms and cries, that scene always gets me. He really was a tragic character. Life is not fair and it certainly wasn't fair to him.

I always get chills the moment Snape says "So when the time comes... the boy must die ?"
That's the moment you hear all that he never said out loud. How much he actually cared. And how much shock and pain it gives him to realize Harry was never meant to survive in the end.

Snape is arguably the best character in any franchise. Everything he did was out of love for Lilly and eventually, Harry. The fact that it wasn’t revealed until the end was incredible.

He is the definition of unconditional love.

The tone Snape has when he's saying "Avada Kedavra" against Dumbledore is actually saying a lot; as in he disagrees with killing him but also knows the sacrifice must be made.

Snape was one of the more well written characters, rest in peace to Alan Rickman.

I'm not someone who cries easily, but the moment snape shows his patronum to albus, the tears fell by themselves. At the end of the video I was crying and I felt my soul split in two. good video.

Rowling said, the sorting hat made only seven mistakes and one of them was putting snape in slytherin . R.I.P. Severus Snape

I liked how the title is just 'Severus Snape' because yes, this is it, thats Severus Snape, the teacher we hate for the whole 7 movies, and it turns out now that he is the teacher we adore the most after the moment in the pensieve. The teacher who we hate because betraying Dumbledore, turns out that he is the triple agent for Dumbledore. The teacher who spent his life protecting the child of his loved one, who is not even his child. He cried for Lily, stay alive for Lily, and die for Lily Evans only.

Such a wonderful video brother. A well deserved one to a legendary character.

I still remember, in the theaters, during "the reveal", when that silver stag was shown again, everyone was screaming, cheering and crying so loud that I couldn't even hear the rest of what Dumbledore said. What a beautiful moment. I miss that time. Snape is legend.

It upsets me when people say that Snape was 'obsessed' with Lily; that his infatuation 'wasn't healthy'. Snape didn't only love Lily romantically. He loved her as a friend. His only friend. She was the one person who truly cared about him. That love - that friendship - formed the foundation of his subsequent infatuation. First and foremost Lily was Snape's best friend. And we love our best friends forever. Obsessions are usually fleeting - they burn bright and then they're gone. Snape's love for Lily lasted almost an entire lifetime. His enduring devotion to his childhood friend reshaped - and ultimately helped to save - the wizarding world. Snape may not have been a good man, but he wasn't a bad one either. What he was, was brave, and his love for Lily was pure. Or so I believe.
