Console needs FOV sliders on mw already. They legit said they can do it for nextgen but choose not to.

On most game 85 to 100 seems to be a sweet spot before it's somewhat harder to see.

I usually use the option where fov is still low when aiming down sights that way I can see around me better but when I need to be accurate and hit a target I can see what I’m doing.

temporary discomfort is when you have to push a little too hard to get a turd out. tear gassing someone is definitely a cause of significant injury

There are pros and cons to both that people in the comments aren’t understanding. The visual recoil looks less with a higher fov because the picture is zoomed out, the trade off is that the targets are smaller and harder to hit. Actual recoil is the same but can be harder to control because the visual recoil can be misleading at higher fov combined with the smaller harder to see/hit targets. I still prefer higher fov for the increased spacial awareness, but some pc gamers play low fov especially in cs and r6 as it is easier to hit targets. No knowledge on if the bigger hit boxes workout for controller players, idk how it works for aim assist, but there u have it, both have their ups and downs.

I think they should make “weapon fov”, where you can change how close can you see the gun.

90 fov is generally seen as the sweet spot for field of view as the higher the FOV the more distorted things can become which while at short ranges makes no difference but at long range people can quickly become half the size on your screen than they are in others.

Of course they are stretched near the edges and become larger but the trade off isn't good enough.

90 is a good middle ground where you get a nice wide FOV but things are minimally distorted. (While still giving you that stretch effect on the far edges where they can be roughly 1.5x the width allowing people in your peripheral vision to be more recognizable and not ignored.)

Wide FOV _does_ have one distinct disadvantage though: it makes further targets smaller and harder to hit. Don't be surprised if you controller players play _a lot_ worse if they finally end up adding a FOV slider.

deadass the reason I don’t play Warzone, I have a Series X and they even admitted that said system can handle higher FoV while last gen (PS4, Xbone) cannot and they just won’t give me the option because it would increase the skill gap. Like get fucked at that point

worst part is, since Vanguard release, Warzone optimitisation for console got so bad they had to reduce the fov from 80 to 60
