Lego aside, the quality and passion in these videos is astounding.

Some suggestions for future tanks: try using some sort of differential to make the gun not have to unwind every time

If it’s a MEGA tank, it should have a MEGA cannon!

To improve handling, you'll want to make it longer and wider. that will allow you to lower the turret assembly. For the string, you could make it so the string goes through a Technic brick hole so there's no backlash.

11 sec/shot isn't terrible. It just sounds slow.

When I was a kid, I felt sad because my brother stopped playing legos with me, in favor of playing video games. I thought maybe he didn't like how I was playing with the legos, so I spent four hours building a few tanks, buildings, and military outposts out of whatever legos we had. When he noticed what I was doing, he started helping me build everything up, and we ended up reenacting WW2 D-Day, storming the beaches of Normandy. When we got done, we hadn't even realized it was past our bedtime.

Fast forward to the beginning of 2020, I heard my fiance had taken her own life, and it broke me.

One of the things that dragged me out of it, was my brother reminding me that no, people don't want me gone. He looked back fondly on the day we took a few harry potter minifigs and turned them into the most dangerous men on the battlefield made him chuckle alot when he was going through his own issues.

I love legos. When I eventually have kids, I'm going to get them as many as I can afford.

Imagine breaking into this guy's house and seeing a laser on your forehead and hearing a mechanical whirring noise.

It's such a big tank its treads can roll around both sides of a smaller tank at once

Use a clutch on the string part, you can engage the clutch to wind it up and then just disengage the clutch to fire. The spool will be free to rotate and you don’t have to manually unwind or risk winding in the other direction if you do it too long.

That thing is truly terrifying.
Nice work!
What if to become less unstable it had the ability to shift its center of gravity?

don"t get me wrong this is very cool and i love the work you put into your lego builds and i enjoy all of your videos but what happened to improving the tank as you find more of its shortcomings? that was always my favorite part about your videos.

SUGGESTION: A fun engineering challenge could be making a tank similar to the Swedish "Stridsvagn 103" it is turretless with a fixed gun traversed by engaging the tracks and elevated by adjusting the hull suspension.

Because of your channel, I made my own Tank. It's smaller but it has working treads, turret, and gun

a "screw track" version would look insane! very cool!

I wonder if you could use a camera and some programming magic to give it stabilization system and automatic leading like a real tank.
Tank suspension on a sleeker side profile would be cool too
Recreating APFSDS projectiles could be interesting as well.

When the big one ran into the little one, I thought that he would swallow him up...

One suggestion for the tracks:

Could be possible to mirror the front to the back as well? I think maybe part of the problem is that it is possible for the tank to fall backwards. Extending the tracks further back would maybe help?

Love the vids as always!!

The "tanks" for watching at the end was amazing! Keep up the good work!
