Sad it didnt work out. Still no mods on my 2014 other than drilled and slotted brake rotors. So many ideas so little money. Oil separator, intake, exhaust, and so on and so on. Thanks for mod-ding your Mustang so I can feel less of a man...dammit. Need that app info so I can get a baseline.

I had the same issue in my 12 with lockout. I have the boss intake and have never had an issue with the new clutch. Went with the Exedy single disc 07807CSC and it rocks. My mechanic told me it’s what Roush used on their S197’s. I’ve run it at the 1/4 mile about 10 runs and a the tail of the dragon. 1/2 the cost ($600ish for the kit) and can handle up to 498 ft pounds of torque at the wheels. Still smooth on the street with only slightly firmer pedal. Plan on running a Vortech V-3 next year and this clutch should handle it like a champ.

I have a 2013 boss 302. I installed the Barton hybrid 3 shifter. I didn’t install the trans mount. It’s only body mounted and it shifts great! The reason is the linkage.

Dude, get the Ford Racing short throw shifter with aluminum bracket. Easy install and CJ Pony Parts has a great video. The bracket replaces the stock rubber mount which is stopping you from getting into third. It's 40% less throw and so precise and goes right into gear. Best mod I've done yet. Totally worth the money, you'll love it. I guarantee it!

Get a Mantic Twin disc. I’m gonna upgrade my clutch too, but that won’t be until after boost lol. I know I should do it before but I just don’t wanna put off that whoosh any longer.

In the mustang group on Facebook, I’ve heard it’s also better to change the clutch line with the braided steel clutch line and the lock-out should stop

You need the Barton hybrid shifter. The Mt-82 is only good for 400 ft lbs of torque. Even if you get a better clutch, with more horsepower you’ll blow the trans. You need a tr-6060 or xl magnum.

I just put my new driveshaft in😂 Last night was my first time at the drag strip and I launched at about 2k on bald street tires and just toasted the driveshaft. Looked like a twisted pretzel but didn’t snap. That track was too sticky

The one true cure for ALL the MT82 woes is a Tremec. Standard on the Shelbys and should have been an option for the Boss and GTs.

The LAY shaft makes so much noise in my MT82 that it causes false knock retarding timing.

i have that issue aswell thats what sucks about my stock 2013 5.0 I always get locked out on a shift In HI RPMs I don't think it's your BOSS intake manifold.its the stock clutch, if you can figure out what's the best clutch for the mt82 that would help me out a bunch thanks.
